hey! I’m so glad you found me!
I’m Melanie, army wife of 10 years and mother to 4 beautiful children. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been the one documenting events. The friend taking more photos than necessary, and the mom capturing every moment of my children. God has blessed me with the gift of storytelling through photography and I love sharing that joy with others.
When I’m not behind the camera you can find me chasing my energetic 6-year-old-son, playing with my sweet 4-year-old daughter, reading to my cuddly 2-year-old daughter or nursing my sweet 4 month old son.
In my free time I enjoy reading the bible, sipping cold coffee, or tending to my garden. I put my former NICU RN nursing skills to use by fixing my kid’s scraped knees and bruised bones as a stay at home Mom in Ashburn, Virginia.
The Process
Consultation
It all begins shortly after you submit a request on this page. I will reach out within 24 hours and we will discuss the session you would like to book and fine tune all of the details. I then send over a contract and invoice. The retainer is required for booking and will be applied to the final cost.
Photoshoot
We will schedule your photoshoot at a time that works best for you. If it is an outdoor session, we will also consider the best hours for sunlight.
Editing
I will deliver family sessions, maternity sessions, and newborn sessions within take 3-5 weeks. You can expect your birth gallery or military event to arrive in your email within 4-5 weeks.
Receiving Your Photos
I will reach out via text that your gallery is ready and you can enjoy all of the images on a password protected website, conveniently on your own device.
